Articles of the Week (AOWs) are typically assigned in class every Monday (unless there is a Monday holiday in which case, articles will be assigned on Tuesday). ALL close reads of the AOWs are due the Friday of the week they are assigned and the one-page reflection will be due the following Monday (written IN CLASS).
AOW's are worth 200 points and are 30% of the overall grade.

How do I complete an AOW?
1. Closely read the article and annotate (the margins, both sides of the article, should be filled with annotated notes). This is to be completed for homework and will be due THAT FRIDAY (unless otherwise stated in class/online). 2. WRITE a One-Page Reflection, EDIT, and then write a final draft in blue or black ink pen. 3. TURN in the annotated article with the EDITED copy and FINAL draft in pen of one-page reflection stapled to the back of the AOW. This is DUE Friday (typically) when you walk in the door. |
